Sukhothai Historical Park is a UNESCO World Site filled with magnificent ruins built over 800 years ago in northern Thailand. This was one of my favorite places to visit in Thailand.
Sukhothai was once the capital of Siam with over 190 ruins spanning 27 square. The ruins include 26 temples and the remains of a royal palace.
The ruins resemble the Khmer style like you find at Angkor Wat in Cambodia.
